There is Bible Study every Wednesday at 6:30. Prayer requests are also shared and we pray for the needs together.
We invite you to join our Sunday services, where we come together to worship and hear a message delivered by Pastor Stanford. The worship services start at 10:45 am. On the last Sunday of each month, we end the service by taking the Lord's Supper and finish with a fellowship meal. We look forward to seeing you there!
We have a variety of ministries that you can get involved with, including children's ministry, youth ministry, and adult groups. These ministries provide opportunities for fellowship, growth, and service.
There are many ways our members serve as an act of love and discipleship. No matter what your spiritual gifts are, there is a place to serve at Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Bob Stanford has served as a pastor Texas since 1981. His idea about serving as pastor is simple: Stay in the Word, love the people and help others know and serve Jesus. To that end he has spent considerable time in formal preparation, earning several degrees including a PhD. from the Southern Baptist Seminary. Pastor Stanford has stated that the greatest part of ministry is seeing people grow into Christlikeness through the ministry of the Word and Spirit.
Bob and Sue have been partners in life and ministry since their wedding day, August 1972 in Corpus Christi. Along the way Aaron and Stephen came along and eventually five super grandsons and the greatest daughter-in-love in Texas, Kym became part of the family.
Pastor Bob retired in 2018 and moved to Seguin to help his son, Stephen who was pastoring Forest Hills. When Stephen took a new church, Forest Hills asked Bob to become pastor. And the rest of the story is still being written…
Walt Graves has spent his working career as a structural and nuclear engineer, but when called to lead music, he willingly said yes. Each Sunday he chooses both traditional hymns and songs of the faith as well as modern day praise and worship choruses.
David has been given many gifts to be used to edify the saints, but if asked, he will tell you his heart his driven to be a servant. And, that is the best definition of a deacon. So, if there is something that needs done, David is generally right in the middle of taking care of it.
Linda has a heart for helping women grow and have fellowship as they walk the path of Christian life. She loves teaching and serving as she ministers to the women of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
